Inkpop is a website directed towards not only teens, but YA writers alike (therefore, it's free to all ages) created by HarperCollins publishers. Inkpop is notably known to pick the Top 5 highest ranked books – five short stories, five poems, and five fiction projects – to send to the editorial board at HarperCollins. Somewhat, it's like a query. And within a few months, the writers receive an editorial board review listing what you can do to make your story better, what needs to be added, an opinion, etc... Only 2 books so far has been acquired from Inkpop to be published by HarperTeen so far. That's Leigh Fallon's Carrier of the Mark, which is being published to HarperTeen October 2011 and Wendy Higgin's Sweet Evil to be published to HarperTeen in the Summer of 2012.
Inkpop is one of my favorite writer's websites. Oh, there are so many books I love there! Some of the reviews will be Inkpop books, and I'll give you a link which directs to them. Don't become wary about signing up for the website, because it truly is helpful and can make any writer's writing better than it is. Trust me. If you'd like to know more about Inkpop read their FAQ.
